Altran Solutions' polymer services include technical expertise in thin films, coatings, formulations, and thermal and mechanical properties. We have specific experience and expertise in failure analysis, aging, and degradation of polymer systems in a wide variety of service environments ranging from typical indoor/outdoor applications to severe thermal and chemical exposures. We also are skilled with high performance coating materials, and formulations for a diversity of industries such as medical devices, nuclear power, digital imaging media and consumer products.
In terms of characterizing structure, we are well equipped with optical and electron microscopy equipment, as well as differential scanning calorimetry, Fourier-Transform Infrared and GC-Mass Spectroscopy. Our staff is very experienced with the interpretation of molecular structure and chemical detail in order to define and predict behavior and to provide guidance on materials selection, formulations or product/process development. We have the mechanical property measurement equipment needed to provide additional performance information. We can also assist your product and process optimization through statistical experiment design and data analysis.
