Quality Assurance

Altran Solutions has established a comprehensive Quality Assurance program that satisfies the requirements of 10CFR50, Appendix B as clarified in ANSI/ASME NQA-1 and accepted by the NRC via Regulatory Guide 1.28 Rev 3. Our program has also been compared to and satisfies the equivalent articles of the ANSI N45.2 series standards. The requirements of the Altran QA Program Manual are administered in all offices by a series of implementation procedures that are available to employees throughout the company by controlled electronic and manual distribution. Initial QA Indoctrination and subsequent upgrade training insures that all employees understand the Program requirements.

Altran Solutions conducts internal audits of each operating discipline in each office location on an annual basis and surveillances on a random basis that is consistent with the nature and complexity of the active projects. These audits and surveillances are used to measure the effectiveness of our Program and point out where reinforcement is needed. Audit findings are published and corrective/preventive action is documented.

Altran's QA Program has also been audited repeatedly over the years by various nuclear utilities and for several years we have been successfully audited by utilities representing NUPIC. Altran welcomes these audits as a means to stay current with the objectives of the nuclear industry and demonstrate our commitment to quality.

A critical aspect of Altran's approach to nuclear contracts is our order entry process where each purchase order is carefully reviewed by the assigned project manager and the QA Manager to determine the needs of the project. When projects are large and complex, Altran order entry will include the development of Supplemental Project Instructions. These instructions will be reviewed by the Project Manager and QA Manager and issued with training when necessary to the project staff.
