Mechanical Testing
Altran Solutions' engineers use the mechanical testing lab to perform material evaluations and qualifications of systems and components. The mechanical testing facilities play a key role in analysis and failure investigation. Altran's experience with mechanical testing of a wide range of materials and conditions can simulate real world operation.
Materials can be evaluated at temperature and with an environment. Cyclic fatigue testing or stress strain curves of materials can be easily performed. Various low and high load test systems with variable height testing frames accommodate numerous components of different shapes and size. A full machine shop located within the Altran Lab can prepare custom fixtures to evaluate various shapes and component configurations.
While standard tests following ASTM and MIL specs are commonly conducted, the strength of this laboratory lies in the fact that Altran works with our clients to develop custom test procedures and fixturing. Direct interaction allows us to design tests, which specifically address our clients needs. In doing this, we can provide answers to our clients' mechanical test questions in a timely and cost efficient manner.
