Development of Aging DegradationTraining Program, Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI)
Altran developed a comprehensive training program that addresses aging degradation of plant structures, systems, and components and the associated leading indicators. The training, Identification and Detection of Aging Issues (EPRI 1007932), provides system and component engineers the tools and knowledge required for early detection of stressors that cause aging degradation and proactive mitigation of those stressors. The training program elements also include an Aging Assessment Field Guide (EPRI 1007933) and Aging Identification and Assessment Checklist: Mechanical Components (EPRI 1009743); Civil and Structural Components (EPRI 1011224); and Electrical Components (EPRI 1011223).
We focus on the root cause of the problem and the most effective mitigation techniques. Building a robust maintenance programs is the best way to prevent failures and uncover plant aging issues.
