For one utility customer, we resolved a steam line vibration problem that had plagued them since plant start-up. After performing data and acoustic analyses, we correlated the results with testing to identify the source of hydraulic pressure variations. We continued testing and performed a structural analysis, again, correlating the data with testing to define the bases for heightened vibration. Altran Solutions identified the problem quickly and cost-effectively and achieved our goal: to predict changes in response to adjustments to the design.

Altran Solutions' capabilities encompassed failure analysis, in the laboratory, to determine the cause of prior support failures; hydraulic analysis, to identify the source of the pressure transients; and structural analysis, to define the anticipated response of the piping.
