Test Kits for Materials Condition Assessment of Fire Protection Systems
Altran Solutions has developed the Altran Fire Protection System (FPS) Kit for fast, accurate, and economical assessment of fire protection sprinkler systems for corrosion damage and biodeterioration.
The FPS kit is a two-pound portable tool kit that facility personnel or fire sprinkler contractors can use to obtain samples of bulk water and pipe sections from suspect FPS. The sample specimens are then shipped directly to Altran Solutions for analysis.The analysis is included in the price of the kit.
Results are available within 14 days following sample receipt, depending on the individual analyses. Fire protection sprinkler system owners can then make informed, timely decisions regarding system repair, cleaning, biofouling treatment selection and preventive maintenance actions.
The FPS Kits are economically priced, allowing facility personnel or FPS inspectors to keep several on hand for use in cases of suspected corrosion failure or as part of a routine monitoring program.
